So I have these two rather strange, proprietary, obsolete pieces of hardware known as RSM 214 trays. They're disk arrays that go in a Sun rack cabinet and plug into the array controller. How I ended up with them is a long story, but I haven't been able to do anything with them because I don't have the cabinet/controller for them. I thought that sooner or later I'd find some use for them, but I've just got too much stuff going on to come up with anything, and I'm rather tired of seeing them sitting in my dining room unused.

Can anyone do anything cool with them? I don't really want to give them away if they're just gonna get junked, but if anyone could use them that would be better than what they're doing now...

must... resist... temptation...

I've got a cabinet that'll fit 'em. don't have any SCA disks to stick in 'em, though. oh crap, now I'm gonna go off and price disks. somebody stop me!

Would you be interested in selling the cabinet?

I wouldn't have a problem with that, but I think the State of Oklahoma might. it's not mine; it belongs to the state agency I work for.
